ABOUT ME
I'm a lecturer at School of Computing, College of Arts and Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Sintok, Kedah. I obtained my Diploma in Computer Science in 1986 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Bachelor of Computer Science in 1988 from UTM, Master of Information Technology in 1999 from UUM, and PhD in Software Engineering (Data Warehouse) in 2012 from UUM. My academic activities include teaching in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer systems ranging from system analysis, design and database system. I'm also supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students (Masters and PhD) in a particular area such as software development, data warehouse, business intelligence, and ontology. I'm a member of the IEEE, and International Association Software Architecture (IASA). I was a Computer Center Director at UUM from 2001 to 2006 and responsible to plan and manage the utilization of computer system in UUM. Currently, I'm responsible to manage Innovation Center in UUM since 2013. I'm also involved as consultant in the development of Information Systems in various organizations such as the Kedah State Development Corporation (KSDC), Universiti Islam Malaysia (USIM), and Entrepreneur Department Ministry of Higher Education. Currently, my research interests are focused on modeling and designing software systems, business intelligence, data warehouse and ontology.
